A System to Disrupt the System

Our Philosophy

The Aurally Divergent Collective exists as a progressive, culturally attuned practice that actively recognises and counters the impact of systemic oppression, prejudice, and societal structures on human lives.

Central to this context is a deep commitment to radical inclusivity and actively dismantling ableism. We recognise that standard mental health frameworks often pathologise difference and ignore the structural barriers faced by disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill communities. The lived experience of disability is profoundly altered and intensified when it intersects with racism, sexism, classism, or queerphobia (or any of the "-isms"). For us, inclusivity is not a passive sentiment or a checklist. We actively seek to create a space where diverse minds and bodies are fundamentally safe, valued, and understood.

Our progressive ethos guides our clinical worldview, while our private practice structure allows us to remain entirely independent, unhurried, and deeply resourced. We believe that true systemic awareness requires holding both a radical clinical lens and a commitment to sustainable economics. Charging professional fees ensures we can invest directly in the specialised tools, ongoing clinical education, and infrastructure required to build a genuinely accessible, high-standard environment for the diverse communities we serve.

Behind The Aurally Divergent Collective...

I have always held a deep curiosity around how we make sense of and navigate connections. Not just with our selves and significant others but also the multiple worlds we inhabit. School, work, neighbourhoods and digital realms, to name a few. This curiosity propelled me on a professional odyssey across three countries, holding a wide spectrum of roles across vastly different landscapes.

Operating within diverse cultural contexts, I have worked with individuals, groups, and organisations through a mix of frontline social work, academic teaching, social research, practice development, community based work and quality assurance. Far from being separate chapters, these experiences have become inextricably linked within my practice. Throughout my clinical career, I have specialised in helping clients navigate complex family dynamics, relationship transitions, and the unique psychological impacts of systemic oppression and minority stress. I provide a steady, non-judgmental therapeutic space to safely unpack your story and co-create meaningful change.

I welcome the full, complex spectrum of human and family life, though I am deeply drawn to the unique landscape of aural divergence and hearing differences.

My work is anchored in my longer training courses though I regularly attend short courses and specialised workshops not only to keep on top of the latest developments within therapy, but to consistently challenge myself as a practitioner. If you feel my practice resonates with what you are looking for, I invite you to see what our collaboration looks like.
